About Franklin

Franklin is located in Warren County, along the Great Miami River. The population was 11,690 at the 2020 census. The city lies about 15 miles southwest of Dayton and 33.5 miles northeast of Cincinnati. Ohio State Routes 73, 123 and 741 pass through Franklin, while Interstate 75 is routed to the east side of the city. The city is known for some speciality shopping, its commercial base and a variety of housing options ranging from affordable housing to multi-acreage home sites.

About Eaton

Eaton is the county seat of Preble County. William Bruce established the town in 1806. Residents named the community after General William Eaton, a hero of the American Revolution. The village grew quickly, having approximately one thousand residents in 1846. This growth was primarily due to Eaton's location along two main turnpikes, making it an important crossroad. Eaton hosts the annual Preble County Pork Festival, held the third full weekend each September, and the summer Preble County Fair.
